Lessons in Lenormand: The Tree (5)

Bild
'Ello everybody! :) Today, we will have a closer look at the Tree, the 5th card within the small game of the Lenormand deck. Judging the imagery, what do you think it could mean? If healthy, it grows, it has good roots, of course, and, even if it takes long, it DOES grow. Card number 5: The Tree If you understand where I am coming from, you are already on a good path towards grasping what it means... Health (both physical and mental), growth, but also, when it comes to time... It can take a while. Especially when asking about a time frame, and you get the Tree as the only card, it can mean, you will have to have patience and even stamina to get to the ultimate goal. If the Tree is placed next to the dark side of the Clouds (6), this means that worries are influencing your health, especially with a card like the Birds (12) closeby. Please take it easy, if you feel this to be the case. When close to the Clover (2), it can mean you (or the querent, of course) are overall healthy, beca...

Lessons in Lenormand: The House (4)

Welcome home, dear readers! Today we are dealing with a wonderful card. It is the "House", the 4th card within the Lenormand deck (or at least the "small game" of the Lenormand, which consists of 36 cards). Card number 4: The House The House symbolises the physical home where you live. If placed in a favourable position, it can give further information about what this home feels like to you, but also everybody around you. For example, the Lilies (30) is a card that stands for harmony and family. Ergo, the house is full of harmony. Sure, smaller conflicts can occur (especially when paired with the Whips (11), or the Birds (12)), but still if the Lilies are closeby, the overall harmonic home for you is represented here. If paired with "unfavourable" cards, even within the combination above (House + Lilies), there may be something that interferes with the harmony at home. Unfavourable cards might be the Mice (23), the Scythe (10), or maybe the Tower (19; in c...

Lessons in Lenormand: The Ship (3)

Sooo... How are you doing today? I hope you are ready for the next bit of my Lessons in Lenormand 😃. This week we are going to have a look at the Ship, the 3rd card of the Lenormand deck: Card number 3: The Ship The Ship generally symbolises traveling distances that are not possible to reach within a day's journey on foot. I once heard that it is a minimum of 50 kilometers (31.0686 miles, roughly...), but of course, the numbers can differ wherever you are. Think of places you can only reach by train, coach, or plane. Or, as the card already suggests, by ship. Anyways, if you or your querent's question revolved around maybe going to a different place, and this card shows up (with no cards telling you otherwise), you or they can be sure that the travel's going to happen. The Ship & the House (4) in combination can speak of a home far away, and especially when combined with the Stork (17), it can speak of relocating/moving to a different place (oftentimes in a different r...

Lessons in Lenormand: The Clover (2)

Hello everybody! So, this week's topic of the "Lessons in Lenormand" series is *drum roll, please* The Clover, card number 2 of the 36 cards deck, so I would like to tell you a bit about this card's meaning. Card number 2: The Clover So, as some of you may have guessed, the Clover symbolises luck, but not just any kind of luck! This lucky card is for luck in your everyday life, in your immediate surroundings, but rather "small" lucky circumstances. There are certain combinations you can keep in mind here. When seen with the Rider, which is the card we talked about last week, the Clover stands for "happy news", or, in more broader terms, news which make you feel lucky in your day-to-day life, which will reach you shortly. When combined with the Sun (31), I would say, this amplifies the luck, because the Sun stands for the big, extraordinary luck. So this big, extraordinary luck combined with luck in your day-to-day life could signify a really, REALL...

Lessons in Lenormand: The Rider (1)

Hello my dears! This is supposed to be a bit of a deep dive into the Lenormand card no. 1 called "The Rider". Card number 1: The Rider The Rider can symbolise quite a lot of things, but mostly it stands for news reaching the querent very soon. The image usually shows a young man riding on the back of a horse, oftentimes in a reckless way, so you can surely imagine how fast the news could reach the querent. Most of the time it is positive news, but please also pay attention to the surrounding cards, if there are any in your reading. If this card stands on its own, for example, if you drew it as a single card, I would personally urge you to think about what kind of news are you expecting. Do you expect them to come soon? Would these be good or bad news in general? Also: How does the card in general make you feel? Mostly it IS positive news, though. Sometimes, though, the Rider can also stand for a person, oftentimes a young man (or somebody identifying as such), some kind of a ...

Should you start with Lenormand cards or tarot cards?

Bild
Hello again~! As you may have guessed already by reading the title, we are talking about which sort of card deck you should start with, based on the comparison of tarot vs. Lenormand. From my own experience, it depends on what types of information you want to "draw" from your readings, but also on what kind of deck "asks you to be used" for said reading. There were times when I focused solely on one medium to get information from. I found that, while tarot in the beginning was easier for my intuition to take the steering wheel, much information on how to read Lenormand online and in books focuses on learning the single meanings of the cards, and how each combination of cards could be interpreted. However, intuition plays a huge role in both processes, no matter what you do. A Lenormand card spread (Grand Tableau), using the Blaue Eule Lenormand deck. (Sorry for the flashlight I used :\...) Let's start with Lenormand: Here, the size of the decks I have worked wit...

What, who, where, why?

On my journey to where and who I am today, I unfortunately came across a lot of half-truths, if not downright urban legends and lies concerning how to read (tarot, lenormand, oracle) cards, how to interpret birth horoscopes, and various other spiritual practices. Are you allowed to read for yourself? Are you not allowed to purchase e. g. a tarot deck calling to you, and wait until it is gifted to you instead? How to shuffle the cards correctly? Should you read reversals? With astrology, are you mostly your sun sign? Or your rising and moon sign? Is there more to your personality than just the components I mentioned before? Are certain zodiac signs not trustworthy, or cold-hearted? I think you get the gist of what I am trying to say here. In this blog, I will be teaching you what I have learned on my 30+ years journey through the world of spirituality, so hi! My name is Marina, and if one word could be used to describe me (There are more, of course!), it would be "curious". No...
